[email protected] I am an Upper School Social Studies Teacher here at GWA. This year I am teaching AP Human Geography, Comparative Government and Economics, and Framing Knowledge. I am originally from Oklahoma, USA. In middle school, I learned about Model United Nations from movies and always wished I could participate in the organization. MUN encompasses many of the things I am most passionate about: debate, diplomacy, politics, and global issues. I have spent much of my academic and professional career researching and teaching about the global influence and impact of international non-governmental organizations like the UN and believe in the power these institutions have as agents for positive change in the world. I'm excited to be part of MUN at GWA and help students explore international relations in a setting that facilitates real collaboration with peers from all over the world. |

[email protected] I am thrilled to join CasaMUN. Having sponsored delegations at several THIMUN conferences, I appreciate the high caliber students here at GWA and look forward to welcoming other like-minded global citizens who are committed to investigating solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. As the faculty sponsor of CasaMUN, my job is to encourage and guide the passionate GWA students whose dedication will make this conference possible. |
Adam Motaouakkil
Head of Logistics
[email protected] MUN is an event close to heart as it has provided me with an intellectual challenge and an opportunity to meet and work with great people. For my final year in high school, I wanted to bring the same enriching experience back home. As Head of Logistics, I promise to ensure the seamless delivery of GWA’s very own CasaMUN. |
Dana Al HalawaniPresident of the General Assembly
[email protected] My name is Dana Al-Halawani and I am 16 years old. I started performing in front of an audience ever since I was five years old and it was easy for me because I never paid attention to what other people had to say about me. But as I grew older and cared about other people’s opinions, performing or even speaking in front of an audience became a challenge... until I was granted the opportunity to attend an MUN conference in high school. When speaking, I kept in mind that everyone attending the conference was facing the same problem, it was us against the problem and not us against each other. I became encouraged to speak more often which allowed me to build my confidence. Since then, I have been to 1 international and 3 national MUN conferences and with each time my public speaking improved, allowing me to be on the panel for this conference. |
Niamat Fellah
Deputy President of the General Assembly
[email protected] Hello everyone, I am Niamat Fellah, a 16 year old Moroccan girl. Being a part of the MUN club at my school for the past two years has made my entire High School experience better. My interest in solving world issues and political debates has only grown since my first MUN simulation, and so far, I have been to 2 national conferences, and 1 international conference. It is for this reason that I am so excited about being a part of the organizational team of CasaMUN, bringing something I love so much home has been the best of opportunities. See you soon! |
